On December 3, 2010, “Human Rights in the XXI Century-Azerbaijan” Foundation finished the 11-th training day in the frame of the project “Let’s Create Social Inclusion Opportunities for Young Orphans”. The project is funded by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe and implemented by the “Human Rights in the XXI Century-Azerbaijan” Foundation. Trainings cover education of social rights as part of human rights and psychological activities in order to provide the young people from orphanages with necessary capacity to integrate into society and to help them to be responsible citizens and free individuals in their country. 20 young people of 14-17 years of age, who live in the orphanage and do not have any parental support and access to social life have been engaged in the trainings and the venue for the trainings is the orphanage number 2 in Mardakan settlement of Baku city. The legal part of the trainings is conducted by the professional lawyer Ulviyya Rahimova. On the 11-th day of the trainings, Ms. Rahimova conducted the training on the right to social security and informed the participants about its types. The trainer raised legal awareness of the training participants about social insurance, income maintenance and social services. At the end of the training, the lawsuit concerning the theme of the training was staged using role-playings. The professional psychologist Aynur Babirova conducts the psychological part of the trainings. The topic of the 11-th training day was “Suicide by young people”. Ms. Babirova informed the participants of the general notion of suicide and the psychological situation before it. During the group activities, the participants discussed the role of stress and depression in suicide. The psychologist gave the trainees psychological recommendations on how to avoid cases leading to suicide.
