At the work of the first session systematically was a discussed project regulation of Working Group and was affirmed plan of work for duties 2008-2010 year. In second part of session discussed and listened lectures under groups about Law and Law – Court Reforms in Azerbaijan, Project Management, and Freedom of Speech and European Council Parliament Assembly Committee of monitoring co-speakers of the group members were given information about meeting with Andres Herkel and Eugenia Zhivkova.
Also during at the meeting was considered accept of the new members to working group, also was elected advocate and adviser on Human Rights and legal problems Mr. Mark Guthrie. At the end of the meeting were discussed current problems.
After this were listened discussions about to look complaints relating to disturbances of the human right of citizens, monitoring of the elections and was listened lectures of the under groups which working with law enforcement agencies.
Allow to note, International Working Group about Implementation of the international standards for human rights in Azerbaijan was created after the finished international conference on “The protection of Political Rights in Azerbaijan – New Criteria” which was held in Baku on 7-8 April, 2008.
Represents from government organizations, 10 well-known international experts, 10 official person, 2 members from Azerbaijan Parliament, and 12 members non – governmental Organization of Azerbaijan, 10 members of governmental organizations of Azerbaijan and public union organizations were included to the Working Group.
The main purpose of International Working Group to create a situation in Azerbaijan about human rights enlighten of protection rights, protection of human rights of citizens, and help to protection in a field of European Standards and create relations between government organizations and public unions.
