The “Human Rights in the XXI Century – Azerbaijan” Foundation, whose primary objective is the education of the youth in the sphere of human rights, has commenced the “Law School” project.

The project envisages regular expert-conducted seminars for students. Earlier, the Foundation realized a number of projects related to youth education. In particular, in May this year a seminar on the rights of children was held in the Hotel Azerbaijan for students from 18 Baku schools.

The Foundation’s lawyer Rafig Ismaylov has recently attended a training dedicated to active participation of the youth from local to international level. The training was organized by the Council of Europe, the Ministry for Youth, Sports and Tourism of Azerbaijan and the National Council of Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan. The Foundation’s lawyer Nazir Guliyev participated in the training named “Preparing and holding municipal elections” sponsored by the Fridrich Nauman Foundation, and in the training “Advocacy for Public Interests”, sponsored by the Democracy Support Foundation. Professor Edwin Roukesh of the University of Columbia was invited to the training.
