The list of the countries with which Azerbaijan has intense migration relations has been made public, APA reports.
Chairman of the Committee on social policy of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Hadi Rajabli said that Turkey ranks first place in this respect.
He that 7196 people migrated from Azerbaijan to Turkey in 2012.
“However, this figure slightly decreased this year. This is caused by objective and subjective reasons”, he said.
Rajabli said that the second country with which Azerbaijan has intense relations with respect to migration is the UK. He mentioned that although 2323 people migrated from the UK to Azerbaijan in 2012 related to oil industry, this figure decreased to 1900 in 2014.
He said that authorized and unauthorized immigration is observed from Uzbekistan, India, China, the U.S. and other countries around the world to Azerbaijan.
“Migration is one of the world’s most serious problems. Today, number of illegal immigrants around the world exceeded 250 million. In recent months, the number of migrants leaving Azerbaijan was three times higher than visitors.
