On November 08, 2010, “Human Rights in the XXI Century-Azerbaijan” Foundation finished the 7-th training day within its project “Let’s Create Social Inclusion Opportunities for Young Orphans”. The project is funded by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe and implemented by the “Human Rights in the XXI Century-Azerbaijan” Foundation. Trainings encompass the topic of social rights as part of human rights and psychological lessons and the venue for the trainings is the orphanage number 2 in Mardakan settlement of Baku city. 14-17 year old 20 young people have been involved in the trainings. Moreover, the participants live in the orphanage and do not have any parental support and access to social rights. The legal part of the trainings is conducted by the professional lawyer Ulviyya Rahimova. On the 7-th day of the trainings, Ms. Rahimova informed the training participants about the right to marriage and their right to live in marriage. Moreover, the trainer instructed the participants about the lawful wedlock, nuptial agreement and its conditions. During the training, obligation and rights of spouses, domestic violence and early marriage was discussed.
The psychological part of the trainings is conducted by professional psychologist Aynur Babirova. Ms. Babirova started the training on the theme of “Happiness in the family is a complex phenomenon”. In order to communicate traumatic and stressful situation in families, she organized simulations among the participants concerning domestic violence and early marriage. At the end of the training, the trainer explained the sorrowful results of early marriage and domestic violence and she gave them some advice.
