On December 17, 2010, “Human Rights in the XXI Century-Azerbaijan” Foundation finished the 14-th training day in the frame of the project “Let’s Create Social Inclusion Opportunities for Young Orphans”. The project is funded by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe and implemented by the “Human Rights in the XXI Century-Azerbaijan” Foundation. Trainings cover the education of social rights as part of human rights and psychological activities in order to provide the young people from orphanages with necessary capacity to integrate into society and to help them to be responsible citizens and free individuals in the country. 20 young people of 14-17 years of age have been engaged in the trainings and the venue for the trainings is the orphanage number 2 in Mardakan settlement of Baku city. The participants live in the orphanage and do not have any parental support and access to social life. The legal part of the trainings is conducted by the professional lawyer Ulviyya Rahimova. On the 14-th day of the trainings, Ms. Rahimova conducted the training on harassment. The trainer explained to the training participants the actions that are considered to be harassment. Moreover, the participants were informed about sexual harassment in work places, verbal and psychological harassment. At the end of the training, the trainees defined the types of harassment by using cases that they were provided with. The psychological part of the trainings is conducted by professional psychologist Aynur Babirova. The theme of the psychological activities was “Social phobia” and Ms. Babirova informed the training participants of the symptoms of social phobia. She described different social situations such as performance anxiety or fears of embarrassment and she informed the young people of the ways of overcoming social phobia.
