Human Rights Commissioner visits temporary detention facilities in southern region

Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman), Elmira Suleymanova visited temporary detention facilities of the police stations in Lankaran, Jalilabad and Masalli regions, the Ombudsman’s press service told APA. Suleymanova met with the detainees, concerned herself with their detention conditions and availability of defenders. The detainees did not complain of their detention conditions or any ill-treatment by the employees of detention facilities. Nevertheless the Ombudsman recommended the heads of the detention facilities to improve the detention conditions.
