Complainants said arguments of the Narimanov District Police Office making the re-opening of the mosque impossible were groundless. Lawyer Suleymanov demanded Police Office to submit written reports on information about the plans of new terrorist attacks against the mosque. He said the mosque remained illegally closed since August 17, the day of incident.
Deputy Police Chief of the Narimanov District Akbar Ismayilov said they had certain operational information about the plans of new terrorist attacks and were against the re-opening of the mosque. He said they received numerous appeals from the population not to open the mosque.
Ismayilov informed about the arrest of several more suspects related to the explosion in the mosque and submitted to the court the document about illegal construction of the building.
The trial will be continued on November 19.
