“In recent years, Azerbaijan has done much for the development of the health sector. In all areas, built modern hospitals and diagnostic centers”, – President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the opening of the Baku Healthcare Center, on January 7, APA reports.
According to the President, the establishment of such centers is a manifestation given attention to the social sphere in Azerbaijan: “This area will be a priority in 2014, as economic development, the growing economic potential of Azerbaijan allows more attention to improve the social sphere. To this area is also given constant attention. Reforms in Azerbaijan in the field of health care are reflected in the statistics. Sharply reduced maternal mortality, infant mortality. The World Health Organization commends reforms in Azerbaijan. In short, in recent years, the creation in the country, particularly in Baku, modern medical facilities acquired extensive. I am confident that in the coming years in health care facilities that are currently in need of repair will be carried out repair work and excellent conditions will be provided,” the president said.
President Ilham Aliyev noted that in recent years has rarely seen the construction of such centers, as the world is still ongoing economic crisis, the economic situation in some countries is not too good.
Noting that the conditions in the center correspond to the highest international standards, the president stressed that Azerbaijan presents its standards and health, particularly in equipment, facilities, construction work.
According to President Ilham Aliyev, the main indicator of the health care system is the professionalism of doctors. The Head of State acknowledged that there is much to do in this direction: “There is still much to do in both training and advanced training of doctors. I hope that all of our doctors will follow the novelties in the field of health in the world today. Azerbaijan to apply the most advanced methods. Qualifications must comply with these conditions. Then, I think, in the health sector in Azerbaijan will reach our desired result.”
“Treatment should be correct. Must put the correct diagnosis. We must do so in the field of public health in Azerbaijan has been a steady development”, – Aliyev said.
The Head of State noted that in 2014, health care is, in general, social services will remain a priority: “We meet in the first week of 2014. I can say that 2014 has already opened two important objects for our country. 3 January we celebrated the opening of a modern ski center in Gabala. And today, here in Baku we celebrate the opening of the wellness center. If we consider that today is the first working day in 2014, we can say with certainty that in 2014 such opening ceremonies will be many. I am confident that 2014 will be successful for our country and our people. We will carry out all the problems put before”.
