Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kemaleddin Heydarov received U.S. Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for International Affairs and Chief Diplomatic Officer Alan Bersin.
The ministry’s press service told APA that during the meeting the guest was thoroughly informed about the works done in the fields of prevention of emergency situations in Azerbaijan and elimination of their consequences, activities of the ministry’s structures.
The guest was also informed about the importance of expanding cooperation in management of emergency situations between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations and relevant U.S. agencies.
The guest, in his turn, said that the U.S. is also interested in expanding the cooperation in management of emergency situations between the relevant structures of both states.
The sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
