“The European Union has put forward several proposals to build confidence between the parties of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and is waiting for a response from Azerbaijan and Armenia,” head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan, Ambassador Roland Kobia told journalists, APA reports.
He said that the proposals include measures on building confidence between the parties, creating opportunities for the EU Special Representative to visit Nagorno Karabakh and the other issues.
Kobia mentioned that OSCE Minsk Group is directly dealing with the solution of the problem and noted that the EU has repeatedly stated its readiness to support Minsk Group and the conflicting parties: “EU stands ready to help but we also be put in a position to help.”
