“Let’s Create Social Inclusion Opportunities for Young Orphans” (photo reportage from the sixth training day)

On November 05, 2010, “Human Rights in the XXI Century-Azerbaijan” Foundation finished the 6-th training day within its project “Let’s Create Social Inclusion Opportunities for Young Orphans”. The project is funded by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe and implemented by the “Human Rights in the XXI Century-Azerbaijan” Foundation. Trainings encompass the topic of social rights as part of human rights and psychological lessons and the venue for the trainings is the orphanage number 2 in Mardakan settlement of Baku city. 14-17 year old 20 young people have been involved in the trainings. Moreover, the participants live in the orphanage and do not have any parental support and access to social life. The legal part of the trainings is conducted by the professional lawyer Ulviyya Rahimova. On the 6-th day, the theme of the training was education. Ms. Rahimova informed the training participants of education institutions and their rights to participate in education and vocational trainings. In different focus groups made up of the participants a couple of articles from the law about education were discussed.
The psychological part of the trainings is conducted by professional psychologist Aynur Babirova. Ms. Babirova trained the trainees regarding self-assessment and self-esteem. She explained the types of self-esteem and the way hot it can be raised. Among the training participants, a simulation that reflects the importance of self-esteem was conducted.
