“The United States is proud to be a member of the OSCE Minsk Group and as an active co-chair, we try to help both the countries reach a peaceful resolution to the conflict, said Charge d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan Dereck Hogan, APA reports.
“I think presidents’ meetings in Sochi, Newport and Paris, but also John Kerry’s meeting with the two presidents in Wales in September testify that we are doing our utmost to ensure a peaceful resolution”, said the diplomat.
Referring to critical energy infrastructure, Hogan mentioned that the U.S. is actively working with the Azerbaijani government in this field.
“We want to make sure that Azerbaijan has all the tools to be able to protect the energy infrastructure not only from any terrorist attacks but natural disasters. We want to make sure that the system is integral and we are supporting Azerbaijan in this respect,” Hogan said.
