Unregistered religious communities will be banned in Azerbaijan, sources at the Azerbaijani parliament, Milli Mejlis told APA. On May 8, the parliament will discuss amendments to the law on freedom of religious faiths.
A part of the amendments concerns the issues arisen from the referendum and other part concerns the regulation of current situation of religious communities in the country. According to the amendments, unregistered religious communities will be banned.
There are 1750 mosques in Azerbaijan and only 500 of them were registered.
