Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Bryza called on the Georgian and Ossetian side to cease fire.
“We can only urge the parties to cease fire. We understand that Georgian leadership should defend the people, but constructive talks should be restored basing on President Saakashvili’s declaration on ceasing the fire,” he said.
