According to the Council’s decision, from January 13 the price of gasoline A-92 will be 0.72 manat, and diesel fuel – 0.62 manat.
Next meeting of the Tariff (price) Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held, and tariffs for oil products were considered and relevant regulations were carried out.
The retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel as well as the wholesale price of liquefied gas were increased by 0.02 manats, APA reports quoting Tariff Council’s website. Price increase was due to the inclusion of road tax in the price of petrol, diesel and liquefied gas, produced in Azerbaijan for domestic consumption, as well as imported from abroad
The Tariff Council’s report notes that by 2015 individuals used to pay road tax in accordance with an engine with an annual pass inspection. Legal entities used to pay road tax in the state budget for the vehicles that were in their balance by providing a declaration to the tax authorities. In this case, legal entities and individuals were forced to pay road tax for unserviceable vehicles, regardless of whether they use roads or not.
Under the amendments, in 2015 the country’s car owners are exempt from road tax. From 2015, the object of taxation are the vehicles of foreign countries, involved in road tax when entering the territory and departure from the territory of Azerbaijan, as well as gasoline, diesel fuel and liquid gas produced in Azerbaijan for domestic consumption or imported from abroad.
