A reception marking the 96th anniversary of founding of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic has been held by the Ljubljana Office of Azerbaijani Embassy to Austria, Slovakia and Slovenia.
The event brought together state and governmental officials of Slovenia, as well as mayor of Ljubljana, Governor of Azerbaijan`s Oguz region Eyvaz Gurbanov, rector of Baku High Oil School Elmar Gasimov, representatives of Austria office of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Armed Forces’ Defense Attaché in Slovenia Kamil Guliyev, ambassadors of the foreign countries accredited in Slovenia, representatives of the business circles.
Azerbaijan`s ambassador Galib Israfilov provided an insight into the history of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, as well as the ongoing processes and achievements gained after regaining independence in 1991.
The event saw awarding 10 citizens of Slovenia with the diploma of the Embassy for their services in development of Azerbaijani-Slovenian relations.
