Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf has resigned, he told the nation during a televised speech. According to APA, Pervez Musharraf said he always defended interest of his country and people and rejected corruption charges against him.
Musharraf accused Pakistani Parliament in the groundless claims against him and said those people tried to present false allegations as true. Pakistani Parliament intends to begin impeachment process against President Musharraf. Only the President’s resignation can secure his inviolability right.
