PACE to discuss results of co-rapporteurs’ visit to Baku

Samad Seyidov, Chairman of the International and Interparliamentary Relations Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament and Head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, as well as MPs Elkhan Suleymanov and Sabir Hajiyev have left for Paris, the capital city of France, to attend PACE assemblies.

 

 

During the meeting of the PACE Bureau, results of the presidential elections in Turkey and Macedonia as well as a number of organizational issues will be discussed, the Milli Mejlis told APA.

 

At the monitoring committee, the co-rapporteurs’ visit to Baku in May 2014, Montenegro fulfilling its commitments to the Council of Europe, the latest happenings in Ukraine, and issues of the post-monitoring dialogue with Turkey, Monaco, and Macedonia will be reviewed.

 

During the meeting of the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy, the parties will exchange views on the 2013-2014 activities of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, assessment of activities of the parliaments of Kyrgyzstan and Morocco as the organization’s partners on democracy, the existing situation in Belarus, the fight against manifestations of nationalism and xenophobia, and other issues.

The visit will be ended on September 7.
