The agenda of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Summer Session to be held in Strasbourg on June 23-27 has been publicized. On the first day of the session, Azerbaijani FM, Chairman of the CoE Committee of Ministers Elmar Mammadyarov will deliver a speech, APA reports quoting the PACE press-service. Later on, he will answer the questions of parliamentarians.
On the same day, the progress report on the activities of the PACE Standing Committee and Bureau will be presented, and discussions will be held on elections recently held in Macedonia and Ukraine.
On June 25, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will make a speech at the session.
Secretary General of the Council of Europe and new judges of the European Court of Human Rights will be elected as part of the session.
In addition, a number of debates on strengthening the independence of the European Court of Human Rights, juvenile justice, and some others subjects will be held.
