Last situation in Georgia will be debated in autumn session of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Canada, APA reports
João Soares, President of OSCE noted that the session would focus on the role of Russia in current situation.
“Main aim of my visit to Russia is linked with preparation to these discussions. I have appointed Former President of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Goran Lennmarker to the post of special representative on Caucasus. He knows the region very well and visited Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
His report on situation in the region will be sounded during the session,” he said. Soares stressed that situation in South Ossetia and Abkhazia will be analysed and called Russia to attend the discussions actively. President of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has invited Russian and Georgian Foreign Ministers to the session.
