Organizations intending to conduct exit-poll in the parliamentary elections, to be held on November 1 in Azerbaijan, must submit their documents to the Central Election Commission until October 12.

The written request must be included a notarized copy of document legally registration of the organization, rules, methods, resources to be used by the organization at exit-poll (number of persons conducting exit-poll, material and technical means and etc. to be used during exit-poll).

The CEC is due to consider each application within 10 days once it’s received as well as other documents presented along with the application, and to make a grounded decision as to whether the organization is accredited or not. By 10 days before October 22 – the election day, the CEC will have made a decision regarding the accreditation of the organizations that have requested for exit-poll. This process will come to an end on October 22.

In compliance with the rules of accreditation of organizations conducting exit-poll in the elections in Azerbaijan, any reputable legal entity specialized in this area, with enough experience, can act as an organization conducting exit-poll. NGOs and foreign legal entities can participate in exit-poll events during elections in accordance with the law on non-government organizations as well as the election law of Azerbaijan. Persons involved in the conducting of exit-poll on behalf of these organizations must be specialized in the election law and election system or must at least have some experience in this area.
