VI International Conference of Ombudsmen has ended in Baku with the adoption of Baku Declaration, APA reports. The participants are urged in the Declaration to develop cooperation between the corresponding organizations for more useful protection of Human Rights.
Expanding of cooperation with the universal and regional international organizations, joint projects, useful protection of various strata of the population, detention facilities meeting the international standards, implementation of public control mechanism and establishing of UNESCO Human Rights cathedras in high schools were focused in the document.
The conference entitled “Human Rights in the Globalizing World” was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the UN Convention on Human Rights and June 18 – Human Rights Day in Azerbaijan.
