“The international community should demonstrate political will and be sincerity on this issue”
“The Organization of Islamic Cooperation supports Azerbaijan regarding Nagorno Karabakh problem and recognizes the fact that the country has undergone aggression and occupation by Armenia,” Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Amin Madani told APA in Baku. He said along with all 57 member states they demonstrated concrete position.
“The UN Security Council has passed resolutions on Nagorno Karabakh conflict. These documents must be implemented. I think the international community must demonstrate political will and be sincere to ensure implementation of these resolutions,” he said.
Amin Madani praised Azerbaijan’s activity within OIC. He mentioned that Azerbaijan, which chaired UN SC last year organized a meeting to deepen cooperation between the UN and OIC. Secretary General also spoke about Azerbaijan’s role in the development of East Jerusalem (Al-Quds). Amin Madani highly appreciated the conference held in Baku on this theme and Azerbaijan’s allocating $5 million for the development of Al-Quds.
