In 2014, the number of complaints from citizens received by the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) of Azerbaijan’s population decreased 35 percent, the SSPF report released Jan.22 with reference to its head Elman Mehdiyev said.
The reason for the reduction in the number of applications is expansion of the range of electronic services of SSPF, according to Mehdiyev. He added that six new e-services of the State Fund of Social Protection have been integrated into the portal Electronic Government in 2014.
Mehdiyev said that in general, in 2014 about 1,380 million citizens used the SSPF electronic services. He also said that the measures to achieve financial sustainability of the pension insurance system in the country were highly appreciated by the World Bank.
Azerbaijan rose by 32 positions in the annual ranking of “Doing Business-2015”; thanks to automating the system of reporting and payment of state social insurance contributions, which is the highest index among the activities that are investigated while creating the rating.
The state fund will continue its work to improve the quality of e-services, increase their number and to achieve financial sustainability of pension and insurance system, Mehdiyev said.
