The issue on changing members or co-chairs of OSCE Minsk Group is not on the agenda.

OSCE Minsk Group is legally dealing with the process of settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict,” chief of Foreign Affairs Department of the President’s Office Novruz Mammadov told APA. He said that any initiative for the settlement of the conflict was supported.

“Azerbaijan welcomes the initiatives of any interested party whishing to help solution of the conflict. We will only be glad, if these efforts will help the settlement of the conflict,” he said.

Taking a stance on the statement of OSCE Minsk Group American co-chair Matthew Bryza that the situation in Minsk Group would become complicated after the happenings in Georgia, Novruz Mammadov said it was an inconsequent stance.
“At that time they assessed the situation in a particular way. Everything is normal as yet. OSCE established Minsk Group and changing its format is not on the agenda,” he said.

Novruz Mammadov said Azerbaijan was not completely satisfied with the activity of the Minsk Group.
“In general Azerbaijan is not satisfied with the work of Minsk Group, as nothing has been done over the past years. But this is the present format for the settlement of the conflict and we patiently support the activity of Minsk Group,” he said.
