One more military unit, constructed by the order of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, has been inaugurated.

The ministry leadership attended the opening of a military unit on the frontline and reviewed the newly-built headquarters, barracks, ammunition depot, parade ground, canteen, medial station, bathroom, laundry, boiler room and other facilities, the defense ministry told APA on July 1.

Addressing before the personnel, Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov said this proves once again the government’s care to the armed forces and the country’s economic strength.

A new naval base was inaugurated a few days ago. This the largest naval base designed with modern equipment in the Caspian Sea. In a speech at the opening ceremony, the Azerbaijani president praised the activity of the armed forces, noting that the army’s combat readiness is strengthening day by day. As a result of the state care, the Azerbaijani armed forces are provided with modern combat vehicles and ammunition. Today, our armed forces are able to achieve the liberation of the occupied territories through increasing the combat readiness and high level of service in order to justify the confidence of the Azerbaijani people and state.

President’s remarks “Let they get away from our lands. If an Armenian soldier doesn’t want to die, let him not go to Aghdam, Fuzuli” is an order for us, and we should adequately fulfill it. Because, the Azerbaijani people are expecting it from us and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief is demanding,” said the minister.

The personnel solemnly marched in front of the tribune. Then ministry officials had lunch with the personnel.

Then the defense minister spoke with civil servants employed by the military unit, gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
