“Georgia needs NATO and does not want to be “Russia’s slave,” said Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili in his interview to the Italian TV channel Rai Uno, APA reports.
“Russia not only started the war against Georgia, but also brought crisis for the whole Caucasus region with its aim to control the energy paths. The Baltic countries will be next. There is danger for war in the whole world. We consider ourselves a European country, and we need Europe and NATO, and we prefer to be dependent on Europe, rather than being Russia’s slave,” Saakashvili said.
