The list of least popular names given to newly-born children in Azerbaijan last year has been made public.
Justice Ministry told APA that Elgun was the least popular name. This name was given to 235 babies. It is followed by Royal (267), Ilkin (259), Fuad (284), and Subhan (299).
Arzu was the least popular girl name. This name was given to 270 babies. This is followed by Guler (284), Lale (295), Esmer (299), and Sevinj (321).
Zahra and Yusif are the most popular names given to newly-born children in Azerbaijan in 2014 and in the past five years. Thus, Yusif was given to 3967 babies and Zahra was given to 3608 babies.
