The 14th meeting of the Consultative Council of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO) will take place in Baku.
The decision was made at the council`s 13th meeting in Sharjah, the UAE.
The two-day meeting of the Consultative Council, tasked with the implementation of the Islamic World’s cultural strategy, was attended by the representatives of 11 countries, including the UAE, Morocco, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sultanate of Oman, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger.
Upon a proposal by Azerbaijan’s representative, the Council agreed to hold the 14th session in Baku, which will host the 3rd World Forum in Intercultural Dialogue, due to be held in May 2015, to coincide with the World Day for Cultural Diversity.
Head of foreign relations and cultural programs department at Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Culture and Tourism Vasif Eyvazzade highlighted the priorities of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
On the sidelines of the event Eyvazzade held bilateral meetings with ISESCO officials, and delegates from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Tunisia, Indonesia, and the UAE.
