A high-level international conference on the Council of Europe Policy toward neighboring regions has today kicked off in Baku.
The two-day conference aims to review achievements gained within the Council of Europe Policy toward neighboring regions and exchange views on further development of this policy.
Azerbaijan that is located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia and has bilateral relations with the countries participating in the Council of Europe Policy toward neighboring regions strongly supports the CoE Policy toward neighboring regions. High representatives of the Council of Europe, the member states and the countries participating in the Council of Europe Policy toward neighboring regions are attending the conference. Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov and Director of External Relations of the Council of Europe Zoltán Taubner will deliver keynote speeches at the event.
