The statement covers especial celebration of November 16 – the Day of International Tolerance in Azerbaijan and stresses higher level of tolerance in Azerbaijan. The Government pays attention to ensure principles of tolerance and freedom of religion, protection of national value in the country. Representatives of religions – Muslims, Christians, Jews and others have always highly assessed religious tolerance in Azerbaijan.
The statement stresses continuation of aggressive policy and ethnic cleansing pursued by Armenia against Azerbaijan. There are religious and historical monuments among victims of the aggression.
Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh and heads of religious confessions functioning in Azerbaijan signed the statement.
