A delegation of the Turkish Military Medical Academy Gulhane is in Azerbaijan, the press service of the Defense Ministry said Sept.30.
A delegation of six people, which includes professors and associate professors, is headed by Colonel of Medical Service of the Military Medical Academy Professor Turker Chetin.
Colonel Cetin and Chief of Medical Department of the Ministry of Defence Major General Natig Aliyev discussed prospects of development in the field of military medicine, the possibility of Turkey in the preparation of medical officers, as well as other issues of mutual interest at the meeting.
During the visit, which will last until Oct. 2, the Turkish doctors will lecture to students and residents of the Military Medical Faculty of the Azerbaijan Medical University, advise patients on treatment in the main hospital of the Armed Forces, conduct surgical and orthopedic surgery together with the Azerbaijani doctors.
The guests visited the tombs of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the outstanding scientist ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva in the Alley of Honor, Alley of Martyrs, laid wreaths and flowers on the graves.
