Georgia has inaugurated is Consulate General in Ganja, Azerbaijan`s second largest city.
The opening ceremony was attended by FMs Elmar Mammadyarov of Azerbaijan, Ahmet Davutoglu of Turkey and Maya Panjikidze of Georgia.
Speaking at the event, Georgia`s Consul General in Ganja Mamika Balavadze hailed the inauguration of the Consulate General as “an important step in relations between the two countries”.
Georgia FM Panjikidze said the opening of the Consulate General “was a signal of excellent relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia”.
Head of Ganja Executive Power Elmar Veliyev said: “The opening of the Consulate General is a remarkable event in the life of our city.”
