Azerbaijan’s Interior Minister, Colonel General Ramil Usubov on Wednesday received a Turkish delegation led by Commander of Gendarmerie Forces Gen. Yasar Guler, the Interior Ministry’s press service told APA.
Minister Usubov noted that Azerbaijan’s Interior Ministry attaches great importance to strengthening ties with the Turkish Interior Ministry and the Gendarmerie Command. He thanked the Turkish Armed Forces, as well as the Gendarmerie Command, for their assistance in army building and forming and improving internal troops.
The minister expressed his confidence that the Turkish Gendarmerie commander’s visit to Azerbaijan will contribute to developing bilateral ties.
General Guler, in turn, expressed satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan, hailing the dynamic development of the country. He noted that Baku is one of the most beautiful capitals.
Praising fruitful cooperation between the relevant bodies of the two countries, the general stressed that Turkey always stand by Azerbaijan.
General Guler vowed to do his utmost for the development of Azerbaijan’s army and internal troops, noting that fruitful cooperation and exchange of experiences serve the interests of the fraternal peoples of the two countries.
