Four deputy ministers of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan appointed

Four out of five deputy ministers of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy and Industry envisaged by the ministry’s regulation were appointed.

The ministries of Economy and Industry was established on the basis of the Ministry of Economic Development in October 2013.

The Deputy Ministers of Economy and Industry appointed Sevinj Hasanova, Niyazi Safarov, Sahil Babayev, and Sahib Mammadov, in accordance with the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Sevinc Hasanova was born in 1971. She graduated from Azerbaijan State Institute of Economics, Faculty of Finance and Credit in 1993. Since July 2006 she has been Deputy Minister of Economic Development. Hasanova is also the chairman of the commission to determine the macroeconomic framework by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. She is married and has two children.

Niyazi Safarov was born in 1959. He graduated from the Law Faculty of Baku State University. He was appointed Deputy Minister of Economic Development on February 17, 2006. He is married and has three children.

Sahil Babayev was born in 1980. He graduated from Baku State University, the faculty of International law and international relations. Babayev headed the Department of Foreign Investment of the Ministry of Economic Development since 2009 and Department on cooperation with international organizations from 2011. He is married.

Sahib Mammadov was born in 1978. In 2000 he graduated from the Kiev State University, in the speciality of International Law, and in 2008 he graduated from Azerbaijan State Economic University with the specialty of “Finance and credit”. Since 2009, he has worked as head of the department of regional development and public programs of the Ministry of Economic Development. He is married and has two children.
