European Union rejects bailout plan for Eastern Europe

European Union leaders have rejected a rescue plan for Eastern Europe in the face of the global economic crisis.

APA reports that the decision was made at the EU member states’ extraordinary summit on economic crisis. Mirek Topolanek, Czech Prime Minister, whose country chairs the European Union, said those countries did not need program of global support, every country had its specific problem.
“We are ready to help these countries, when requested,” he said.
The principles of the work to be done for elimination of the consequences of the economic crisis will be determined in Brussels summit of the European Union on March 18-19.
