Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Youth and Sports Committee of Azerbaijani Parliament co-organized an event dedicated to February 2 – Youth Day.
Tahir Suleymanov, deputy head of the Department of Socio-Political Affairs of the Presidential Administration gave information about the first forum of Azerbaijani youth held 20 years ago.
He said 2200 people attended this forum. “Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the youth policy founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev. Today, the young people are facing special state care. Successful youth model was established in Azerbaijan 20 years ago, perfect legislation was developed regarding the young people. Necessary infrastructure was created for young people in the regions. Azerbaijan provides an important aid to youth organizations,” he added.
Executive director of the Youth Foundation Farhad Hajiyev noted that 3341 of all submitted projects were financed by the foundation within 5 years and they achieved successful results.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev touched on formation of a new young generation over 20 years. “February 2 – Youth Day shows that youth policy is always a priority. Azerbaijan has demonstrated to the world a model of bridge between state and youth. I believe that youth organizations would contribute to the delivery of truth about Azerbaijan to the world community,” he said.
