Representatives of various ministries and relevant bodies of Iran held a meeting on Saturday to prepare for the next (ninth) session of the joint economic commission between Azerbaijan and Iran, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pakayin told Trend.
According to the ambassador, the ninth meeting of the joint economic commission will be held in August.
The ambassador also said that during the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Iran chairman of iranian commission was appointed minister of communications and information technology Mahmoud Vaizi and therefore the first meeting where were representatives of various bodies was held in the ministry.
“Meeting with representatives of various ministries and relevant bodies of Iran is an indication of how seriously Iran refers to the fulfill of the agreements reached during the visit of President Ilham Aliyev,” Iranian ambassador said.
The ambassador added that Iran is pursuing a policy of developing relations with neighboring countries, especially with Azerbaijan, and today there is a good environment for the use of the economic potential of the two countries.
At the meeting attended by representatives of the Foreign Ministry, ministry of oil, transport, agriculture, commerce, industry, as well as representatives of the Central Bank and the Araz free economic zone.
During the meeting i was decided that representatives of all agencies submit their proposals for the expansion of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran.
