“Movement for Karabakh and Republic” and “Republicans” were registered as Initiative Groups in CEC today’s meeting, said CEC Secretary Natig Mammadov, APA reports.
To him, “Movement for Karabakh and Republic” presented 42011 signatures to the CEC. 40 430 signatures were valid and 1581 were invalid as a result of verification of Working Group. “Republicans” Initiative Group presented 41077 signatures. 40 337 were valid and 740 were invalid. Both of Initiative Groups were registered basing on proper reasons.
“Azerbaijan People’s Republic” Initiative Group showed 43490 signatures to CEC. 11000 of them were checked up. 7300 of them were invalid. Mammadov said that invalid signatures were linked with incorrect information and signature of one person on behalf of persons, who have not voting rights. National Independence Initiative Group submitted 40080 signatures. Working Group considered 5650 signatures and 3617of them were invalid. Both of Initiative Groups were not registered.
Beybala Abil, responsible representative of “Azerbaijan People’s Republic” Initiative Group addressing the meeting said that 3300 of 7300 signatures were considered as invalid, because the word AZE on the citizens’ identity cards were not written. He assessed it as technical mistake and asked to register the organization as Initiative Group. Head of Working Group Ilham Mammadov said that rules of filling signatures had already been determined and there were not any Article covering concession for technical mistakes.
CEC refused to register the organization as Initiative Group.
