Azerbaijan`s Minister of Internal Affairs, colonel-general Ramil Usubov has met Pakistani ambassador to the country Khalid Usman Qaiser.
The Minister said relations of both countries have rich historical and deep roots. He stressed the importance of boosting cooperation between the relevant bodies of both countries and touched upon the important role of reciprocal visits. The Minister also recalled his participation in “Strategies for Combating Drugs” regional conference, as well as his meetings with Minister of Internal Affairs and other officials of Pakistan.
Mr. Usubov briefed Khalid Usman Qaiser on the activity and functions of the Ministry, as well as current criminogenic situation in Azerbaijan, the reforms carried out in the country.
Khalid Usman Qaiser, in turn, said bases of bilateral relations were founded by Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev. The diplomat highlighted steadily development and achievements of Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev in overall fields.
The Ambassador said cooperation in overall fields would positively contribute to further development.
