Azerbaijani, Turkish presidents meet in Istanbul

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a meeting in Turkey’s Istanbul, May 23.

 

During the meeting, the presidents expressed satisfaction with the successful development of brotherly and friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in political, economic and other areas.

 

They noted the importance of regular visits and mutual high-level meetings in terms of further strengthening the bilateral relations.

 

It was also pointed out that the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul will contribute to the expansion of international cooperation.

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and exchanged views on the further development of bilateral relations.
