Pilots of the air forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey tested combat coordination possibilities, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s press service said Sept. 22.
The two countries pilots conducted flights on the MiG-29 two-seat training-fighter jets to review the flight area, military airfields, aeronautical situation along the route, and conditions on alternate aerodromes.
The pilots will also hold joint flights on the F-16 two-seat training-fighter jets.
The exercises will last until October 3.
They involve over 30 aircraft of the Azerbaijani and Turkish air forces, including Mig-29 and F-16 fighter jets, Su-25 attack aircraft, C-130 Herkules military transport plane, Mi-24 and AH-1W Super Cobra combat helicopters, Mi-17 and Sikorski UH-60 military transport helicopters.
