“The continued occupation of the Azerbaijani territories by Armenia is the main obstacle for the normalization of relations between our countries. It has no grounds, nor historical, nor legal, nor political,” said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on April 29 in an interview with TV channel “Russia-24”.
“It is known that the UN Security Council adopted four resolutions which demanded the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Armenian occupying forces from Azerbaijani territories. It took more than 20 years, and these resolutions remain on the paper. So, the international law was violated, the rights of more than one million people who were expelled from their lands, are violated,” said the President of Azerbaijan.
The Head of State also answered the questions related to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the successful development of the energy sector of Azerbaijan, the preparations for the first European Games, etc.
