“Services in the field of health is already at a high level in Azerbaijan”, – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the opening ceremony of the Training and Surgical Clinic of Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU) during a meeting with teachers and students of AMU, APA reports.
President Ilham Aliyev said that Training and Surgical Clinic is unique among medical centers established in Azerbaijan in recent years: “This is a clinic that stands out the beauty, architecture and functional features.”
According to the President, the establishment of the clinic had two objectives: “First of all, the question was increasing at an even higher level of educational process in Azerbaijan Medical University. At the same time, was given the task to bring together all the department of surgical areas. We have achieved this. At the same time, it was ensured in Azerbaijan creation of a new modern medical center. That is, there are connected two important areas for our country – and education, and health care. Here, all the work is organized at the highest level. The most modern equipment, there are excellent conditions, very nice building. There are excellent conditions for doctors and students. So it should be. Because Azerbaijan is successfully and rapidly devolving country. All the problems facing the country are being resolved, problems in the healthy field. “The president said that in recent years in Azerbaijan was built about 500 medical centers, these centers cover all regions of the country. Fifteen cities set up diagnostic centers. Today, we can say that everywhere in our country there are excellent conditions for high-quality medical services. I am confident that in the next year or two is in all of our cities will be created excellent clinic.”
President Ilham Aliyev noted that in the last two weeks in several cities of the country were opened modern hospital: “I can say that hospitals opened in the regions also equipped with the most modern equipment and have the highest standards”.
“Azerbaijan Medical University is a higher educational institution, which plays a special role in the training of doctors in our country. This university has a great history, great tradition, and I ‘m sure it has a bright future. Because today in independent Azerbaijan, expenditures allocated to the health sector, strengthening the material – technical base for health. In that case, of course, should increase the level of medical services.”
The Head of State noted the presence of the university teaching staff with extensive experience and knowledge: “Of course, your knowledge is passed to younger generations. We must do so to the younger generation, young doctors can keep track of all the processes occurring in the field of health care in the world. In order to do this, there are opportunities, computer rooms. I am confident that we can establish a direct link with the various universities. There are perfect conditions in order to observe the operations. Thus, our young doctors should be aware of all the progressive innovations in the field of health care in the world. Because in today’s world, medical science is developing rapidly. You, doctors know this better than anyone. Today, many of the disease, the treatment of which had once been impossible if their time to detect treat. Diagnostic instruments, including specified here computed tomography, MRI, modern X-ray machines can detect any disease at an early stage and make the correct diagnosis. Even the presence of these devices is an important step in the correct diagnosis, and, of course, the treatment must also be right.”
According to the President, the successful development of the world medical science is a direct contribution to people’s health. “We should try to find the latest in the world of innovations and inventions in the field of applied and Azerbaijan. We have to be ready for it. Established logistics base, modern equipment to enable this feature. Should be increased professionalism, knowledge of doctors. Through its activities, the works of doctors constantly have to do well to be more educated and knowledgeable. It is necessary to make sure that Azerbaijan could carry out any complicated operations. I can say that in recent years, we have been able to achieve this. Because today in Azerbaijan carried out the most complex cardiovascular surgery, organ transplantation. However, it is no secret that some people, especially wealthy people, still more go abroad for treatment. We have to create conditions so that it was not necessary. Azerbaijan should be the medical services of the highest level, the highest professionalism. I am confident that the combined efforts – and a national government, the creation of new health facilities, the availability of modern equipment and the professionalism of doctors , their improvement will enable us to achieve this goal ” – President Ilham Aliyev said.
“Recently, I expressed my opinion about education. Once again I want to say that we have to make sure that our young people must not go to study abroad. The level of education in Azerbaijan should be such that there was a possibility to receive education at the highest level. Of course, in the field of health, we must ensure a level. I am confident that we will achieve this. Because conducted in recent years, health care reforms are successful. However, much remains to be done. However, international organizations, including the World Health Organization, appreciate the activity of Azerbaijan in this sphere. Some time ago the European Office of the World Health Organization emphasized reforms in Azerbaijan”, – said the President.
“People’s health is a priority for our state”, – said President Ilham Aliyev. ” Opening in the course of my visits to the regions hospitals, water supply lines, the activities related to the environment, have the same goal to Azerbaijan to protect human health , were possible, the conditions for obtaining high-quality treatment. Now in all regions and in the near future in each city will be fully operational dialysis centers. In most cities we have already achieved it. We see the positive side of this. At the time, patients have to travel hundreds of kilometers to the way they were treated in the major cities. Now, in every region, I can say, almost every town has modern dialysis centers”, – President Aliyev said.
