An Azerbaijani delegation of heads of Executive Authorities of several cities and districts has visited the Kansai region to study experience of Japan in urban planning and infrastructure development.
The delegation held several meetings in the cities of Kyoto and Kobe of Japan.
Deputy Mayor of Kobe Toshiro Tamada welcomed the delegation and spoke of their experience on town building, reconstruction, and organizing security infrastructure.
Head of the delegation, Deputy Head of the Department for the Work with the Regional Administration and Local Self-Governing Bodies of the Presidential Administration Huseyn Movsumov highlighted Azerbaijan’s recent achievements.
He also spoke of the country’s socio-economic development under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
They also discussed signing a cooperation agreement between Kobe and one of the Azerbaijani regions.
The delegation then visited the “Shinyei” company as part of the visit to Kobe.
Movsumov praised the company’s activity in Azerbaijan and noted that the country was interested in learning its experience in urban development, security, agriculture and food industry fields.
Head of Executive Authorities of Baku`s Khatai district Razim Mammadov presented publications on the “White city” project to the President of “Shinyei” company.
Shaki Mayor Elkhan Usubov provided an insight into the city and presented the draft intent protocol on the friendship exchange and partnership to Kyoto mayor.
