Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry hosted on Wednesday an annual meeting with foreign military attachés accredited in the country.
The meeting was attended by 32 delegates from 30 countries, the Defense Ministry told APA.
Major General Huseyn Mahmudov, head of the ministry’s international military cooperation department, welcomed the participants on behalf of the country’s defense minister and gave detailed information about the military and security situation in the region, Armenia’s aggressive policy against Azerbaijan, as well as the reforms conducted in the Azerbaijani Army, prospects for development, and the work done within the framework of the international military cooperation.
Mahmudov then answered numerous questions from the military attaches.
The doyen of the Baku Military Attachés Association, Romanian military attaché, Rodin Lazariou, on behalf of his colleagues, expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s leadership for holding such events and hope for further continuation of the fruitful cooperation.
