Heads of the Azerbaijani diplomatic missions and consulates have gathered for their third meeting in Baku on Monday, APA reports. The diplomats have started their five-day meeting with the visiting of the Heydar Aliyev’s grave in the Alley of Honor and the Alley of Martyrs this morning. President Ilham Aliyev is expected to attend the meeting on its first working day.
The president will speak about the priorities of the foreign policy and will urge the diplomats to carry out their duties more usefully. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov will make report on the activity of the diplomatic services in the period since 2006 meeting. Then other ministers and heads of committees will address the diplomats. Then the diplomats will visit Fuzuli Region of Azerbaijan. The first meeting of the diplomats was held in 2004 and it was decided at that meeting to hold such event every two years.
