Azerbaijani Ambassador to the UK Tahir Tagizade has visited the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies to become familiar with the activity of the Centre and to discuss cooperation opportunities.
The Ambassador was informed that a new building of the Centre was built with the support of several Muslim countries.
Director Farhan Nizami highlighted the activities of the Centre. He said the Center was established in 1985 to encourage the scholarly study of Islam and the Islamic world. HRH The Prince of Wales is the Patron of the Centre.
Ambassador Tahir Tagizade signed the Museum`s guest book.
The Ambassador also met professors and teachers of the Centre to exchange views on possible cooperation with Azerbaijan in a variety of fields.
Tahir Tagizade presented an Azerbaijani carpet to the Centre.
