The cooperation between Azerbaijan and the US in the cyber security sphere will continue, the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta said Apr.13.
He made the remarks during the conference on “National Security in the Information Age” in Baku.
The conference is being held with the support of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Baku, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and the US embassy in Azerbaijan.
Cyber security problem is a quite serious issue and it is topical for the US as well, said the ambassador.
“President Barack Obama has signed a decree on enhancing the work in this sphere.”
Furthermore, the diplomat said that holding of this event by Azerbaijan makes a great contribution in this sphere.
Azerbaijan seeks to become a leader in the communication strategy in the region and the US supports the country in this sphere wishing to share its experience with the country, according to Cekuta.
